Favourite: Solitary or form schools. Hide-out: Inhabit a variety of reef habitats, but most common on outer reefs to 190m; can be locally abundant. Location: Indo-Pacific - Red Sea and E. Africa to far eastern Pacific. S.W. Japan to Australia.
