Identification: Variable red to silvery with distinct to obscure bars or blotches; fins lightly spotted or mottled; tail slightly rounded.
Favourite: Solitary or form small groups; drift next to coral beads during day.
Hide-out: Lagoon and seaward reefs in 3-20m.
Location: Circumtropical.
