Well a fine week is over. I am getting a little worried that I am going to get enormously fat out here because I'm eating 3 good meals a day. This is mostly due to the fact that I work closely with two other consultants and we tend to get together for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Anyway it's more than I usually eat regardless. So I went to the gym in the building this morning. I sauntered on the treadmill for 20 minutes, and after about 15 minutes of slowly increasing speed my heart rate was only 130bpm. I wasn't even breaking a sweat so this was clearly not enough, and I cranked it up so in the last five minutes I got it up to 160. Then I lifted some freeweights.
I definitely have to get some shorts, and a shirt as I felt a bit weird working out in my jeans. It's not even so much that it's a fashion shoot either, but jeans are pretty annoying when you're on a treadmill.
This weekend we have some tentative plans to go to Victoria, and if the weather permits we might even charter a boat and cruise around. Matt claims to be a qualified skipper so I figure we'll be alright. :)
