NoVA native (and founding Weezer bassist) Matt Sharp and his outfit The Rentals are back with a new-ish album, an evolved post-modern sound, and a string of tour dates. Lost in Alphaville is The Rentals' third full-length studio album, their first since re-uniting in 2013, and their first on Polyvinyl Records. The album features an all-star cast of performers, including Patrick Carney of the Black Keys on drums and MMS favorites Holly Laessig & Jess Wolfe from Lucius on vocals.
The Rentals will be peforming with Mexico City's Rey Pila at The Rock & Roll Hotel on Saturday, May 23. Tickets are $20, and doors open at 6:30.
