[Image]Can't take yet another overly earnest indie band, and need to inject a little Latin funk into your Friday night? Not prepared for the end of summer, and feeling the urge to rage against the dying of the light (and heat) with some tropical grooves? If so, head on over to The Dunes in CoHi for the Bestia EP release party being thrown by DC's own Latin/funk/dub collective the Empresarios. This 8-member strong collaborative crafts booty-shaking sounds the could be the love child of a tequila-fueled, sun-soaked island getaway by Thievery Corporation and the Fort Knox Five.

Doors open at 9pm, and tickets are $15Adv/$20DoS. In addition to the EP release, the event will also feature DJ sets by Sonny Cheeba and Sammy K. Sorry, kiddos, but this one is 21+.
