One of my assistants has that calendar, because along with her duties as a teacher... she is a shoe model. No kidding. Free shoes and everything (only in sample size, which is a teeny 6.) I have decided that I need a reason to wear high heels once in a while. Other half has been put on notice to take me somewhere that requires dressing up.
Oh what a gorgeous calendar! Your job sounds a challenge... I am assuming the mall of America is shopping heaven? I received your Christmas card in the mail today!... you are such a darling for sending one all this way. I bet your end was the quick part and then once it hit Australia Post, they took 2 weeks off for holidays! A treasured keepsake from the other side of the globe. Thank you my friend. A-M xx

[Image] One of my Christmas gifts this year was this fabulous Shoe-A-Day Calendar, based on Linda O'Keefe's international bestseller Shoes. Every day is a new piece of eye candy. Some are from recent collections (such as the above (“Pippa” vegan faux patent leather mary jane by Natalie Portman for Te Casan, 2008) and some are vintage. My favorite so far (and it’s only January 12!) was a red satin number with rhinestone heel and beaded daisy toe clip from the late 1950s. Very Mad Men. Do my people know me, or what? I’m off to Minneapolis this week for work. And my trip involves spending considerable time at The Mall of America. For. Work. It’s like the mother ship is calling me home.
