Penny - it looks like they ran out of fabric after they made the hideous valance.

Raina - Shockingly, it is NOT in a retirement community. It's one of the few new developments around here that isn't "55+ only". If you click on the link in the caption yo can see the slideshow - not much of one, it appears there are lots of seating areas, a garage and no bedrooms.

Eeeeek, that's ugly!
"Staging" homes is a trend we can only hope will die with the deflated real estate bubble. They remove all the personality from a place and turn it into a generic Marriot Suite.
And those curtains! Looks like someone lopped them off with a giant pair of shears.
