I have only two celebrity spottings for Belden Lane which is also pretty limited considering I have been there 100s of times. Whatshisface from the Matrix and Princess bride - wife of thingummy jig.
Unfortunately Delfina is not so easy for me for star sighting because I am not so good at making reservatiions there. I try. The other day for example I called and agreed to be put on hold. When it came to and I asked for the reservation - which was a couple of weeks in advance, the receptionist was so sweet but extremely sorry and a little amused (as was I when she told me) because the people on the phone before me had asked for the exact size table and time as me. They beat me to it by a whisker.
I just have to keep trying although I have another solution now instead - last week we went to my stay-at-home-friends-with-baby and got the most AWESOME take out from the Delfina pizzeria with a BiRite salted caramel pint for dessert and it was wonderful. And only 80 bucks for a 4 people FEAST - appetizer each, pizza each - and dessert.
I might be doing it more often. And when you are at ahome with child, we can bring the same feast to YOU!
I am so predicting that you go into labor while dining at Delfina.
Of course, statistical analysis on that one would prove that it's not too hard a bet to win. Frequency of dining is in my favor.
Dang, now you got me craving little cupcakes too!

You know you eat somewhere too much when you end up sitting next to people that you've seen at the restaurant before, and you can tell them exactly where they sat when you saw them last. Problems, people, problems.
In any case, you may remember my droolfest over a certain Mr. Gyllenhal a few weeks back. I reported that he was my first celebrity sighting at Delfina.
I'm a fucking liar.
Last night, Lauri, GM extrodinaire, reminded me that I had also seen the superhot and fabulous Parker Posey. How I forgot that, I don't know. I only know that it means I suck. This is even more ridiculous considering the meal in question was a) free and b) on Delfina's anniversary. Also, that anniversary happens to be Jon's sister's birthday. And considering we are expecting an additional diner in the family approximately ten days before that date, I'm just going to squeeze my legs together real tight and hold out so we can have a hat trick.
So Delfina celebrity sightings is at 2, not one, but it is still a sad ratio considering how much time I spend there.
In other news, I will be baking some yellow cupcakes with chocolate frosting today. This craving shit is no joke.
