yay!! all is right in the world. Joy has started posting restaurant reviews again. i was planning to give spqr a few more weeks to settle in, so i'm happy to hear that it's already running smoothly. i'm especially psyched about the late nite hours. please, fellow san franciscans, let's stop sucking and let's support late nite eateries.

Presuming diner #3 is going to be making his appearance at the same place as your classes, you could send the boy out to SPQR for takeout and avoid hospital food.

I'm just sayin'...

Tea,

Actually, the classes are independent so we'll have to make do with the food Delfina delivers to us in the hospital:).

When I was a vegan/vegetarian I used to live on spaghetti aglio e olio e pepperoncino whenever I dined out. And I had some fine versions in Italy itself, too. Because you mentioned this dish to me on Sunday when I saw you, of course I had to make myself some last night.

I am sure it was not nearly as good as SPQR's. But personally - though I love me some pasta with some clams, the point of aglio e olio for me is its utter delicious simplicity. I wouldn't change it or add clams to it for the world.

aglio e olio....e vongole! Sounds great to me. I've had nothing but good experiences at A16, and reading this review makes me that much more excited about trying SPQR now.

This is my first time on your blog and I love the review. I am planning on taking my beautiful Susan to SPQR tomorrow for her birthday. When I am not with my wine critic friends I don't have your kind of "juice" any advice on best time to go on Thurs night to get a table for an ordinary type person?

P.S. I also emailed a thanks.
