I love the hot chocolate at Tartine. They use real Scharffen Berger chocolate, and a cup (small as they are for the price) on a Saturday morning is the perfect start to the weekend.
Ben, we'll be in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Koh Samui. A waiter friend of ours who lived in SF moved back to Bangkok so we've got a local guide to kick it with.
I can't figure out how to email you, so here goes: I'd love to compare notes before/during/after our trips!
The bf and I, while not proper restaurant whores, are at least pretty slutty about it...

Went to Tartine yesterday and Jon reported that their coffee has greatly improved and no longer sucks, which means that now everything there is officially beyond delicious. Is it wrong that I wanted to eat a coconut cream tart for breakfast?
Also, I just got finished watching "Iron Chef America: Battle Cheese" which made me want to roll around naked in a vat of ricotta, despite the fact that I recently ate my weight in cheese at A16 last night (side note: A16 is awesome).

I'm heading to Thailand next month too...mostly to eat. Where will you be? Our trip is as of yet largely unplanned...
