Never mind the TV. Why is there a mirror propped up next to the bed? Who would want to watch themselves fall asleep? Oh... wait a minute...

It's a cute house, and that's not even a bad price by Seattle standards. It's been on the market for a few months, maybe they should PICK UP and take more pictures?

I have a question for you Seattle dwellers, and Washington citizens in general. Sarah has a ton of Washington listings here, for obvious reasons, does no one in Washington have air conditioning? Is it just never, ever necessary? It seems like even the poshest places come without it. However, in overhead Google views there are sometimes in the ground pools to be glimpsed, suggesting it does get hot. I'm confused.

Anon: air conditioners are rare here. One of my neighbors has a window unit, and I can't think of anyone else I know with AC. I might run in the wrong circles, though.

There's a week or two every year when it would be nice to have AC, and the occasional OH MY GOD heatwave, but that's it.

I don't fancy that TV landing on my legs in the middle of the night.

The placement of the toilet/mirror in the bathroom is also unfortunate.

I almost forgot about that parking thing.

Thank you for the answer, Sara and I apologize for sticking an H on the end of your name! I guess I was too enthralled by the entire air conditioning question to ...uh...have any manners. Oops. Mea Culpa.

Hi, I'm the Susan who found the listing. Long time lurker, first time poster, etc.

I don't fancy that TV landing on my legs in the middle of the night.

That's what caught my eye, because we do get the occasional earthquake up here. I can't claim that I've done everything you're supposed to do to quake-proof my house. E.g. I've got bookshelves not bolted to the wall, because we're renters, and I don't want to have to unbolt them in another six months if/when we buy or move to a different rental. But none of those bookshelves are looming over my bed, waiting to crush my feet in my sleep.

Huge TV at foot of bed, mirror propped up next to bed... I'm surprised there isn't a swing hanging from the ceiling!

And the nightstand is facing the bed--not next to it. That's weird. Maybe for easier drawer access... You know, for bible reading?

Let's not speculate about the race, class, or parenting skills of the people who live in these houses. We judge them on the photos they pick, not on who they are as people (unless we really can't help it).
