Dear God. The kitchen looks like the inside of the colon of someone who just took some Pepto-Bismol. Every time I'd exit the kitchen, I'd feel like ... well, you know.

I feel a little... blue. No, it's okay. I'll get glad again.

Gah! I'm all for a bold use of color and all that, but was there a fire sale on that blue or something? That's the only reasonable explanation because no one would choose that much blue. Even Smurfs are against that much blue.

Yikes, normally stagers that prattle on about the need to neutralize color in a home annoy the heck out of me. After all, who can't see past a paint color?

But the Azure that Ate Pasadena needs to go!

As for the kitchen...well now, I'm sure they could have come up with a less appetizing color if they'd really tried. It would have required a ton of effort though!

Are we sure that's paint in the kitchen and not just the home of a heavy smoker?

It's been awhile since a listing hurt my eyes like this one. Thank goodness Chair is outside on the porch!

Ack! You >know< that was a lovely, glowing, bare wood beam with a lot of natural (finished) wood all around...such a lovely look...and these people decided it ought to be PAINTED. Ack!

sometimes....sometimes ceilings should NOT match the walls. Unless they are all white.

This is one of the first listings that i clicked on, thinking it has to be a fluke.
WOW.
I had no idea that people did that. I had no idea is was legal to use those shades of paint on the walls and ceiling.
WOW.

Someone lives there, with those colors? This is truly an architectural tragedy. I hope, for that awesome little house's sake, that a good person will come along and save it from that madness.

I love use of inappropriate capital letters to accentuate the listing, particularly:

"The Ceilings are of Nice Design."

I think the ceiling in this case does deserve its elevation to a proper noun!

Oh, my, the kitchen is even worse than the smurf massacre.

Clink on the More Details and it takes you to a full page of pictures, all with glossy colored ceilings, including a very disturbing bright red bedroom ceiling with a spinning blade attachment above the bed.

Reminds me of the house my ex and I rented with the deep green MBR walls and the deep purple second BR walls (where my daughter was to sleep, but wouldn't - I think she was too scared, even at 9 months). When we asked to repaint, the owner said it would be okay "as long as we continued using pastels."

What I can't figure out about this listing is... why are there three full dining areas? They are definitely all different, not just furniture dragged from one place to another in the house just for the photoshoot. And why no obligatory picture of the bathroom with the toilet lid up? In fact, why no pictures of the bedrooms?

It's not bad.
I just think it could use a little more blue.

painting the ceiling the same color as the walls is like boxing yourself in. horrible colors.

Wow. I like that color blue, but first of all, that's a LOT of blue. Second of all, that's a terrible thing to do to a Craftsman home. Look at those cute builtins in the dining room. Blue is just wrong for those.

I don't know why, but I expect to see Max Headroom somewhere in this house.

I'm all for "living with color", but that's ridiculous. Aside from the fact that it is all wrong for a 1907 Craftsman, it is all wrong for anything. Even Smurfs, The Blue Man Group and Elvis would disapprove.

Far, far more disturbing to me than the blue paint are those horrid chandliers that are being used as table lamps in the living room...don't know why everyone missed that!

Okay, I love blue and white but seriously.. if they wanted to paint the ceiling..they should have done floaty clouds or something different..then the same as the walls and the dark blue curtains clashed horribly! Worse then a prison; if you aske me.

Let's not speculate about the race, class, or parenting skills of the people who live in these houses. We judge them on the photos they pick, not on who they are as people (unless we really can't help it).
