You had to bring up smudge sticks, didn't you?[sigh]

The choices of carpeting alone are enough to make me want to declare the house uninhabitable... Santa can't help us now.

I can't decide if my nightmares will focus on really nasty wallpaper or on a shrine to the jolly fat man in the corner... either way, I think I'll take a sleeping pill!

and yes, I voted :)

Wow, I've never seen a more perfect embodiment of The Yellow Wallpaper.

Have you seen there's a stone shrine in the garden? Plus, this is one of those "carpet-in-the-kitchen" horror...

I wonder if that's one of those santas that has a button on the back and sings when you press it.

Grandma's been gone for a couple of years now, but the faint aroma of oatmeal-raisin cookies and urine still lingers ...

I think the decorating spirits are very displeased...wow that is some of the nastiest wallpaper I have ever seen..you wonder what "possesses" folks to go with their decorating choices...even if this was popular way back when...its still screams "UGLY"...you have a fun blog and I always enjoy my great giggle for the day...:)

I'd be an angry spirit too if my shrine had an eternal view of a playskool basketball hoop...

Ya know, if you want to get the spirit out of the room, I'd be a simple matter to throw Santa out the window.

I feel I'm on sensory overload when I see all those patterns...carpet, wallpaper, drapes. My eyes hurt.

What I don't get is that the wall paper appears to be way out of date from about the 1960s, but the carpet looks brand new, as though just installed and vacuumed a day or so ago.

In case you're not yet freaked out enough, if you stare at the wallpaper while you scroll the page up and down with your mouse wheel, it appears to move.

I'm a big fan of realstate sites because I like to imagine what would I do to them (wich walls I would brake:P). But in Portugal, and as I can see there too, people use the worst photos ever to sell their houses!
You see cloth hanging everywhere, toilets, people in photos... God!

Good luck:P

Santa must have been a very bad boy to have to stand in the corner and stare at ugly wallpaper.

Checking my own list and checking it twice. Going to make damn sure I'm definitely nice!

Whoa, the first thing I thought of was The Yellow Wallpaper, as Alex mentioned. Jeeze! Scary stuff... I'll just start creeping my way out of here...

Let's not speculate about the race, class, or parenting skills of the people who live in these houses. We judge them on the photos they pick, not on who they are as people (unless we really can't help it).
