Huh. When we put our house on the market, the staging consultant specifically suggested that we put our rabbit with leg-o-mutton sleeves into storage for the duration. But maybe it's different in New Zealand.

I hate to eat dinner alone so I have a group of child-sized stuffed animals occupying all the other chairs.
I think this line up looks great to welcome the resident back home after a long and difficult day working at the local walmart.
I am strongly reminded of the year my mother decided to sew soft sculptured dolls for Christmas... for awhile there was a stack of disembodied doll heads in the corner of her room awaiting assembly... Creepy.
BUT she never took a picture of said stack of heads for a real estate listing!

WHY do people think it's a good idea to collect? it only makes you look ridiculous in the end!
Was someone angry at these toys? Were they marching around at night disturbing the family and they had to be stopped at all costs including chopping off their bottom half? It isn't even so much they are cut in half, it is the angry menacing stares they are giving us that are freaking me out! Is New Zealand full of freaks? To think I almost considered moving there not too long ago. Maybe it is the island that does this to people.
I think this group is the negotiation committee. The listing states, "For Sale by Private Treaty. Expressions of interest sought." It should also say, "Bring offers if you dare!" What's up with the itty bitty, 4' deep sink in the kitchen countertop? It's big enough to rinse one cherry tomato!

o my gosh! The house isn't even in bad condition, but who can see past the creepy figures!
Is that just me, or are one of those a Teletubby? I don't understand the theme here - is it just based on the halfness of each piece? First I thought it was animals, but then no, there's a baby, and then really no, what is that thing in the blue hood? Unsettling.
This is in my home town. Its a great house with great views (including of an active volcano in the sea in the background) but seriously... WHAT WERE THEY THINKING???

Wow I'm so scared right now.
Disturbing is a pretty good word for it, but not strong enough.

That is a gorgeous house... Why would the first picture be a bunch of glaring torsos? *shudder*

"Strategic Location"...
They're OBVIOUSLY starting a mutant army of half-bodied fighting sculptures!!!

Although I must say that IS a great solution to fencing in a pool!

Gorgeous house, and if the statues convey, that would make it just really PERFECT.

Has anyone else noticed that the elephant on the end looks like he is standing there naked and embarrassingly covering his junk? No? Just me then.
