I'm amused by the fact that two of the pictures are screenshots from Google maps or Google Earth.

"I really want to sell this house, but I can't be arsed to actually take pictures of it."

This listing makes me sad. Very sad.

Would the lot even be worth five thousand in that area? That sucker is going to collapse atop the first person to venture in there without a hardhat. I don't want to pay 5500 for a concussion.

Maybe they don't know that newer listings are automatically put before yours on Craigslist?

Goodness. What an enticing ad.

We all decided at our office that the reason it hasn't sold is that they didn't stage it correctly. Just put a kid in overalls on the front porch, playing banjo.

It looks like it might have $5,000 worth of lumber in it. The salvage might make it worth it. I'm not familiar with the area but it seems that the land would be worth a dollar or two.

Mary,

I like the idea of the boy and the banjo, but what about the hound dog?

The hound dog is under the porch waiting for it to collapse!

Boy, that property wouldn't last long here! Buy it, tear the house down, put up a bunch of condos, voila! Instant millionaire!

Well, at least it's an honest picture. Anybody who sees it will know exactly what to expect when they get there, heaven help them.

Reminds me of this place I was in yesterday with broken walls and no plumbing. Only intact glass in the place was a beer bottle in the yard.

When she says "Why does this keep getting taken down?" does that mean she is putting that shack back up every time they knock it down?

I want to know where are the 2 bedrooms in that sad excuse of a shack???

You're all missing the point. The truly sad thing about this ad is that the same house would cost $250,000 in California.

P.S. I really want to call that number to see if a hippie answers

Let's not speculate about the race, class, or parenting skills of the people who live in these houses. We judge them on the photos they pick, not on who they are as people (unless we really can't help it).
