Maybe it has a retractable roof, like a football stadium? What better way to bring the outdoors in?

Makes me think of an old Looney Toons cartoon where a circular saw goes totally out of control.

It's obviously a Cubist's house.

ha. at first i honestly thought my internet connection was being funny and just hadn't loaded the picture correctly.

maybe the builders got confused when the architect said "split-level."

by the way, your blog is simply brilliant.

As a PhotoShop expert, I'd say this is DEFINITELY a corrupt image! It is obvious that the color of the sky is completely unrealistic and edited.

They've obviously super-imposed an older photo of the lower part of the house onto the rest of the picture. What are they trying to hide? Chalk outline? Bloodstains?

A plain photo just wasn't good enough for them. They needed to add an artistic touch and some cubism style.

Also, did you notice that the room measurements are "apploximate"? Maybe since there's cantilevering they can't figure out how to approximate the distances... or apploximating somehow takes into account the third dimension???

Blogger DotK said...

I think it's caught between dimensions.

Nothing more than a corrupt image. Tonal change and image shifting is a common JPEG corruption symptom. The person listing the house is guilty of nothing more than not checking the photos after the upload. Still, the comments are very funny.

I've been to Texas and I assure you that is what the homes look like. Don't mess with America

I think they were trying to take a picture of the house but it wouldn't fit so they had to take two shots, unfortunately, they did a nasty job of putting it together!

People, people, people: have none of you ever seen a split level home?

Perhaps there was an earthquake.

Let's not speculate about the race, class, or parenting skills of the people who live in these houses. We judge them on the photos they pick, not on who they are as people (unless we really can't help it).
