In the picture with the bed is that the shell of an old washer and dryer that someone is using as a headboard? Is that what's going on? Unless I am seeing it wrong, it looks like there is a hollow space where the actual works of the washer/dryer would be.
I think you're right, Alissa ... at first I thought it was just your normal everyday portable space heater stand/blockade, but upon closer inspection, it does look like the fascias of a couple of hapless dryers. Guess these ones didn't escape in time ...

Surely The Headboard (whatever you use to construct it) is on the top ten list of Places Not To Operate A Space Heater. You could probably make money, though, taking bets on which would catch fire first, your hair or your bedding. Of course you might have a hard time finding bettors because they'd worry you wouldn't be around when the time came to pay off.
