This looks like a foreclosure. I've seen this before in houses where the water has been turned off. Don't use the toilet because there's no water.

Yep - it's when the home has been winterized because it's vacant. I've seen it in a few that weren't foreclosures, too. They should probably take the tape off for the photo, but it is a good idea to do it in cold weather if someone isn't there every day.

Let's not speculate about the race, class, or parenting skills of the people who live in these houses. We judge them on the photos they pick, not on who they are as people (unless we really can't help it).
