They must be color-blind. Please, tell me they are color-blind!!
I believe there is actually a law in New Jersey that all real estate listings must contain at LEAST one pink room. When we moved here from NY, we searched hundreds of listings and didn't find a single house without one. We bought our gem with two, one of which was pink striped diagonal wallpaper. It's disgusting.

Anyone else reminded to Glinda from the show Wicked?
There's only one thing wrong with this room. It's the green lamp shade over on the side table. It must have been one of those gifts you couldn't return. T
These people really need to decide: salmon or carnation?

That strange shade of pink is called "Baker's Pink", and it was created for use in institutions and prisons. The theory went that it was a soothing color, and thus would help to stabilise emotions. This was only true in very short-term tests; the color had the opposite result when a person was exposed to it for long periods. They combined it with an odd sort of Mylanta green that can be seen in old buildings to this day. If you want to see some examples, a great place to start is opacity.us I love this site. Keep it coming!

My eyes hurt.
"Are there actually WINDOWS under that window treatment...?"
There appears to be rows of glass block somewhere under there.
This room must have last been decorated by Maime Eisenhower.

[Image] The theory that pink prison cells will help calm inmates has been disproven, I believe... which leaves absolutely no good reasons for doing this to a room.

"My colors are 'Blush' and 'Bashful'!"
"Your colors are 'Pink' and 'Pink'!"
(say it with a cheesy Southern accent)

It's the kind of room Jennifer Marlow from "WKRP in Cincinnati" would have slept in, no?
