at first glance I thought it was like my sister in law's cute built in cabin/playhouse for her kids - at second glance I realized that no... it was just a decorating attempt gone horribly ugly. oh, the carpet... don't get me started on the carpet!
Maybe their kids like to stage Western-themed plays and this is the set? Actually, what bothers me even more than the "front porch of the saloon" look is that ghastly overhead florescent lighting. I get headaches just looking at that room.

A house like this would totally defuse traditional parental admonisments such as "Did you grow up in a barn?"

Clearly the owners of this building (found by Misty) saw this post, thought it was a great idea, and copied it. Sorry about that.

Actually, I prefer the house from the 11 June post. It had a warmer, more log-cabin-y feel.

Is it built over a putting green? I mean seriously, the carpet is bad enough! ARGH!!! Come on people! Don't you watch HGTV? ha ha ha

I like it; it has that "unfinished" cabin feel to it. So homey...

I think it's great if you are planing on having farm animals inside. Perhaps her husband was a pig.
