Well at least the delightful you-thought-the-kitchen-was-bad photo of the bathroom has been removed from when you posted this listing back in November. Interestingly the price hasn't come down in all those months though *shakes head sadly*.
(And don't ask why I remember this listing from so many months ago....)
Hee hee! Really? I didn't realize -- it's all a blur of vinyl flooring.

Year built? 1910. Last year cleaned? Roughly the same.
Yeah, yeah, San Fransisco, it's gorgeous, it's marvelous. It's faboo. I live in Colorado, it's pretty too, and no one tries to sell me what looks like the kitchen was last used to brew some quality crack for a cool 675k. No city is that fabulous, and even if it is? Find the runner up city and move there instead.
That's a pretty spectacular dump for well over a half a million dollars.

Didn't you know that in San Francisco, "$675,000" is Realtor code for "trailer trash"? :)

All I know is that the agentselling this listing made a total killing in the Bay Area over the last 12 months.
I hate to spoil the fun, but it's clearly a tear-down. An R-2 lot in that location is valued at around that much. (When I was selling real estate 2002-2004, I'd expect it to fetch a fair amount more.)
The more likely scenario is that someone will clear the lot and spend $500,000 to construct a luxury two-condo building, and sell off the two condos at $750K each.
The puzzling part is why they even bothered to show the interior.

I can't figure out that thing has four bedrooms and two baths. It looks like barely two bedrooms would be in it.

Burhanistan, Redfin's agents are paid on salary (and bonused on customer service ratings) and 50% of the selling commission goes back to the buyer in the form of a rebate check when deal is closed (my check was for $9500!) So she may have closed a lot of deals, she still made the same as if she closed just one! Redfin rocks---BTW! Check it out @ redfin.com.
Holy cow. I notice that it's probate, this the owner die in the kitchen? Is that why there's no flooring in there?

I dunno if anyone lives in SF, but 675,000 would be considered a fixer-upper in the right area. Houses routinely go for millions, easy. Especially in Noe Valley (where the house is located.) I know it sounds crazy to everyone who doesn't live in a major city, but thats definitely reasonable. If you bought that house and renovated it, and flipped it, you could get your money back easy.
Hey anonymous, yeah us "country bumpkins" (e.g. everyone who doesn't live in SF) get that real estate is expensive in SF. More expensive than many, many other places.
But I would never use the word "reasonable" to describe this home price.

Yeah, the kitchen's a pit. But what do you expect? It's on the market for just $67,500. How much work can you expect the people selling it do do?
Oh.
Wait.
Not $67,500. I misread that.
This kitchen is in a FREAKING $675,000 HOUSE AND OH MY GOD THIS IS WHY I DIDN'T MOVE TO SAN FRANCISCO.
"Ajax really isn't that expensive"

The only vaguely decent thing is the view from the back, and they've put a screen up that blocks it!
