OMFG. Nightmares, you really weren't kidding. I just asked my boyfriend if he wanted to see a house that REALLY makes you wonder "What the EFF happened here?!" and then when he said no I told him he had to look anyway. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN?? Ugh.
It looks sort of Frank Lloyd Wright-ish, which probably explains the price. But...
That's not a house, that's a DEATH TRAP! No one will ever be able to rid that structure of mold, and I'll bet I know why it's being sold after just two years... I would put money on the owners having recurrent ("unexplained") sickness.
It happened to a local architect in our town. His wife kept getting sick, developed allergies and sensitivities to all kinds of things, and could never really feel well.
Turns out the furnace was installed wrong and the ducts were full of mold. That house has been on the market again (after they sold it).

how do you know it's not an indoor pool in general, not just roaches. Maybe the lighting is poor and the water is actually crystal clear or maybe a deep lagoon blue.
$679K for mold and a basement even mosquitos would be afraid to breed in? There's no way this house sells. Ever! Not even to a developer who wants to put up a strip mall!
I am a meteorologist, so I look at this and wonder, are these flood waters? But then, it seems they aren't receeding, because if they were, they would have been smart enough to not list the house until after the water is gone...right? I have so many questions.
The house could possibly be livable again, depending on the damage. Think Hurricane Katrina...my friends had 5 feet of water in their house. They tore everything out down to the studs and subfloor, scrubbed everything that remained with bleach over and over and over again, and rebuilt.
But back to this house...this price...oh, my. Unreal!
i get all stuffed up and sick feeling just looking at all the mold.

The damage wasnt as bad as this though, less than 10k in this case.
It happens often in foreclosed homes with the power shut off though. no power for a sump pump in a basement can spell disaster for some homes.

I see under "equipment" they list "humidifier", which might be unneeded. They also list "sump pump", which I guess isn't working so well.
