For 1.1 mil, I'd insist on harvest rights.

I'd be careful turning on that ceiling fan in the #10 picture.

"No, Mom. I swear. It's a Dutch Fern. It's a project for Mrs. Jenkins AP Biology class. Other kids are doing it too. You want me to get a good grade don't you? If I don't get a good grade on this I'll have to go to Carlow and not Duquesne!"

(Just kidding Carlow peeps. I love ya too. *pounds chest, throws peace sign*)

Speaking as someone who raises and sells carnivorous plants, I'm willing to bet that you have a very serious legitimate gardener here. Judging by the expense of the equipment, I'm figuring either orchids or roses. Either way, any time someone tries to give me grief about raising carnivores, I just smile and point them in the direction of orchid or rose people. I could climb into a public fountain at noon, fart in the pool, and bite the bubbles, and I'd still be more well-adjusted that some orchid people.

Let's not speculate about the race, class, or parenting skills of the people who live in these houses. We judge them on the photos they pick, not on who they are as people (unless we really can't help it).
