Is this a take on the Methodist version of Finlandia?

"but other hearts in other lands are beating
with hopes and dreams as true and high as mine"

It's what immediately sprang to mind when I read your title. I love that hymn.

Yup, Jen, although I was thinking of "But other lands have sunlight too, and clover." Everyone! This is my song...

I'd love to see Chair's passport photo. Sitting [of course!] there all pastey white, staring straight ahead with a gypsy smirk on his face, arms rigid, legs planted firmly and "just so".

I bet Inter-pol has a file 10 centimeters thick on him following his "wacky antics" and hedonistic tendencies throughout the smokey hashish dens of Bankok to the fjords of Finland and on to the Ricola Valley of the Alps (don't even get me started on what happened whilst at the Vatican).

Legend has it that he's been rubbing elbows with the Dalai Lama at a recent bar-b-que in Kathmandu. But I hear that turned out quite scandalous so don't quote me on it.

Oh! Excellent! I couldn't remember those particular lyrics and could only find the others quickly here at work.

This isn't about this post, actually, it's about the Lovely Listing dream I had a couple nights ago. The photo was of a rooftop, with two circular - air vents? chimneys? - AC units? - with four Chair-type chairs around each one, and everything was painted a deep blue.

The place was actually a commercial space that supposedly could be converted into something else. The Realtor called it "The Anything House".

Wait a minute, I see Stockholm on the map the listing links to. Is this house in Sweden?! It's a nice house, and the price is really good, too. Maybe it's time to consider moving to Sweden.

Let's not speculate about the race, class, or parenting skills of the people who live in these houses. We judge them on the photos they pick, not on who they are as people (unless we really can't help it).
