Okay, the pictures of the aviary was bad enough, but couldn't any clean any of the rooms before photographing them? The living room with the dog watching tv, the stairs leading to nowhere, and don't get me started on the 'office'? We need the "Design to Sell" people to come and re-do that house! Eesh!

Parrot doody is the scientific term, but it's ok that you're not up to speed on the ornithological terminology. Also, it looks like this one has plenty of the stuff on the windowsill:

To its credit, this house boasts a Squawk Score of 78.

Sorry.

Nothing says cabin fever and Amityville Horror like oodles of snow and being cooped up in the Bates' house with squawky birds and mangy dogs. Hitchock and Stephen King would have a field day. "It's Johnny!" (with an emphasis on the Nicholson grin)...

I thought the photo of the stair risers was particularly inspired. The one with the missing carpet tiles totally sold me on the house. Yep, yep - that's the house for me.

I agree with the first commenter. Okay, so the current owner has birds - but four pictures of them in the listing?!? As if they are going to help sell the house! You do have to wonder what the real estate "professionals" are thinking about when they post the photos...

I once visited the home of a couple who take in unwanted parrots. Their home was immaculate. Really. But I noticed that she cleaned ALL the time. Even while we were visiting, she was cleaning.
This house, however, does not look as clean and I suspect would need professional hosing down before I would want to move in.
All those photos are a helpful warning to any potential buyer.

Are the birds for sale? Why else would their be pictures of them?
Weird.

On the upside at least the birds appear to be healthy, so ...uh...there's that (and it isn't much when trying to sell a house but score for the avians!). What an interesting disparity between the beautiful scenes from outside the house and the interior. For god's sake there is a dishwasher right there how about loading the crap in the counters into it before snapping the picture?

And here I thought I was the only person left alive who remembered the "SubGenius Parrot Training Tape" from the mid-Eighties. I know several people who made a copy of that and left it on a loop for an acquaintance's parrot, just to hear the parrot yell "Please...kill me".

I live in this town and my uncle actually showed this house to a client. The pictures on the listing are making it appear MUCH better than it is, he said it is so horrible it should be torn down. The place stinks, the birds have crapped the place up. Seriously unlivable!

I live in this town too and this house is on one of the busiest and fastest streets in the town. So it is smell and dangerous to boot.

Let's not speculate about the race, class, or parenting skills of the people who live in these houses. We judge them on the photos they pick, not on who they are as people (unless we really can't help it).
