If the tub looks like that, it's probably a good thing you can't see the toilet in the shot.

Just closed on my first house and discovered a noxious smell rising from the kitchen sink. I broke out the baseboard to discover an inch-thick coating of cockroaches beneath it.

This picture reminds me of the netherworld below my sink.

I knew a guy who was a mechanic and his shower looked like this from the grease he would wash off his body. BLEECH.

I've seen this kind of thing before. The sad thing is that someone was probably honestly living in that home and bathing in that tub.

Section 8. That's how.
For a house to be that price in Chicago, I would think it has a pretty foul past.

The cartoon drawings of acephalic heads on the wall of the bedroom are both funny and revealing.

Does Mr. Shrek live in this house?

That reminds me of photos of the economy-class bathrooms in the Titanic, as taken by oceanic explorers.

The real question is though: if you bathe in that tub, do you emerge cleaner or dirtier than when you got in.

I imagine it would be like bathing in a giant roasting tray, only instead of fat and chicken grease it is mould, mildew and… err 'human grease'.

How could a tub with that bright of a window possibly get THAT mildewy? I gotta cast my vote for the grease theory. Or some horrible combination du twain.

Watch the movie "Gummo". You'll see how it happens...

Let's not speculate about the race, class, or parenting skills of the people who live in these houses. We judge them on the photos they pick, not on who they are as people (unless we really can't help it).
