Some cultures think that the Western/modern way of having a toilet inside the house is very disgusting.

Also, I'm going to buy that place and totally write my nihilist manifesto there.

All that wood amongst those trees. I see a big bushfire risk. Scary.

Not a bad cabin, as long as you don't mind the whole "no potable water" thing. Who needs water anyway, when you've got beer?

Apart from the lack of well, this actually sounds like the Finnish ideal for a summer cottage - no electricity, no running water, in a remote location. At $119k Canadian, it sounds like a pretty good deal too.

The only thing smellier than an outhouse would be waiting in line, downwind!

I've just gotta say I love this cabin. Though I am spoiled enough that I would need to add working electricity, sewer, and running water. I still want it though!

Hey, it could be way worse - it's listed as 'abandoned' but still looks cleaner and neater inside than a lot of the inhabited listings we see here!

The scary thing is that it sounds like you will have to use the outhouse since it sounds like it will take some work to get plumbing or electricity working.

No wonder it's abandoned. The Unabomber was caught over a decade ago.

Weird they did all that plumbing (bathtub, double kitchen sink) without having a well in place? Did they think it rains enough to capture enough water for the year?

Let's not speculate about the race, class, or parenting skills of the people who live in these houses. We judge them on the photos they pick, not on who they are as people (unless we really can't help it).
