My parents had one of those basements once upon a time. They are not quite as effective as they sound when Billy Mays discusses them on the infomercial.

Seaweed on the walls...running water on the floor...that sounds like the beginning of a serious luau party there.
some people think the sound of running water is relaxing - myself it just makes me have to make a run to the facilities... in this house I'd be afraid that my run to the facilities would contribute to the sound of running water in the basement... yikes, yikes, and one more yikes!
(I don't even have a comment for the exterior..."quaint" just doesn't cut it!)
