Either way, that wart of a room stuck on the front makes this an ugly house.

At least when it is listing, it is interesting in that watching a car wreck kind of way. Like - Will it collapse this week or next?

Cheers

it's plastic-man's house - you've discovered the secret abode of America's first crime fighting stretchable family!

man, people really need to stretch out and widen their perspective when it comes to giving a little effort on certain things (like real estate listings)..tsk!

So if the copper has been removed does that mean you have no water or electricity. Probably why it is soo cheap. Love the blog.

Copper missing? I translate that to mean "has no plumbing." It's cute, really. But, $22,500 is cheap. So, crappy neighborhood where anything metal will disapear in a flash. Hopefully that won't include your car and/or jewelry.

Does the street REALLY need to be level? I mean, even just standing on the other side of the street I can take a proper picture of a house on an incline; to make the street level actually takes effort! What was the real estate agent trying to do? Entice people who dislike hills but like slanty houses?

It might be tilted...but it does include a used Jetta!

The listing agent has the identical "stretch limo" quality to her headshot which identifies her, so I think she's done a marvelous job representing her client. Hey maybe she should buy that house! With all due respect to those who are "vertically challenged," which includes me!

Agent: "I'm afraid the house won't sell if people know its on a hill, so I'll just angle my camera to be parallel with the street. The house looking like its about to fall over is much more desirable."

ps - you don't have mokey computer skills, whoever posted the pic does, they specified image dimensions in the HTML that ruined the image's true aspect ratio.

That's some major over-accommodation for a hilly street. Looks like it was taken through a crystal ball.

*Somebody* doesn't really want to sell that house.

Fercryinoutloud, you would think that someone would cover the "If the house is on a hill, make the house look level, not the street!" part of taking house pictures in Realtor 101.

For a list price of $22,500, I guess the realtor didn't think it was worth her time to take a better picture... Can't quite figure out how the house appears to be leaning so bad if it really isn't (especially since nothing else in the picture looks askew).

Shame, it's a cute looking "cottage" on google view. Age: 118. I bet the price is land value...

Too bad the economy has affected this house as well. How long until the copper thieves start stealing from occupied houses? "Hands up! We want your pipes!"

And my response would be the company that installed ours already ripped us off! (And then lied to the BBB when we filed a complaint!)

I can't figure out how come the car looks like it is normal but the house is leaning soooooooo much. Is it a bad photo shop?

Brilliant picture!

I almost wish it really did lean like that!

I've been to Troy, NY exactly once. My most memorable experience was visiting the Price Chopper supermarket. That's really about all I can remember about Troy.

Let's not speculate about the race, class, or parenting skills of the people who live in these houses. We judge them on the photos they pick, not on who they are as people (unless we really can't help it).
