yeah, this shows the wall construction, which has mad soundproofing, from the look of it. having the drywall connected to discontiguous studs, rather than to either side of a common stud, dramatically improves soundproofing.

I think its to show what is between the drywall to show the interior construction. Is this a townhome or condo?
