Today was Seth's first day of preschool.
Leah starts next week.
I have always thought the crying thing (by parents) was a bit odd, probably because as a full-time working mama, I leave my kids plenty.Too much.
There's no way I would cry on Seth's first day.
This morning, he got up early and came to snuggle.We watched Curious George (his new obsession) and got dressed.He knew today was the first day.He seemed excited and nervous all at once.
He actually ate breakfast (something he doesn't like to do too early) and got ready to go.[Image] First day, right Mama?

As we prepared to leave, I snapped a few shots and the nervous-finger-in-mouth was in full force.(That's okay, little man....)

[Image]By the time we got to his school (five minutes away) I could feel it comin'.Here I was, dropping my son off to perfect strangers.  For (eventually) three hours.And I'm not invited to stay.
Seth remained excited and repeatedly practiced walking in the front door by himself..... something both he and Leah will do once the car pool line is in full swing.
Then Miss Margaret arrived and whisked him away.Just like that.School.I sat alone.Stunned.
And so, I cried.Yea, I did.
Maybe it was the whole "he's all grown up" thing.
Or maybe it was the end of an "era."
Or perhaps it was that he is no longer under the watchful eye of our Lola.

Whatever it was, he went and I cried.
(and it went great)
