What a beautiful family! Too bad no one's eyes are closed or zoned out - those types of pictures are always funnier...

Merry Christmas family and friends!
I, Vince, had the job to organize and print our Christmas cards this year. I did them in such a hurry, ordering them online, that I didn't pay close attention to the picture I had chosen to include in the card. I had selected a family photo we took when Michael was about to leave on his mission but the problem is that I had multiple versions on this photo on my computer, some of which were of bad takes (e.g. eyes closed, certain people not looking at the camera, etc). Well, I wasn't careful enough and I selected a bad photo for the printed card and it was unusable. If I had sent them out, I would have been disowned by my family.
And by the time it the cards arrived, it was too late to reorder as we were getting ready to go on vacation.
That is my lengthy and lame excuse.
Some updates on the Han family:
1) After 3 years in a home in Lindon, Utah, we moved in July down the street to a smaller home which has been much easier to manage. I'd give you our new address but we are not sure if we'll be here next year. We have been hesitant to commit to staying long term in Utah and so have continued to rent. Email me if you want to know our address.
2) On May 29th, Michael left on his two year, LDS mission to Sydney Australia, Korean speaking. His letters are found here: http://elderhan.blogspot.com/
He is having a very meaningful experience and is learning and growing a lot. He is happy serving his mission and we are so proud of him.
3) Many of you know that in 2012, we added Marie Yuki to our family and in our home after her mother passed away suddenly. Tragically, just a few months after her mother passed away, her father also passed away. Marie is a special needs teenager and we were able to get her situated here in Utah and feeling comfortable with getting her life sorted out. After much prayer and discussion, we placed Marie into foster care and she ended up in an amazing home that is more suited to caring for her and her needs. We see her a couple times a month when she comes over for a sleepover. She is doing great and making wonderful progress.
3) When Marie transitioned to foster care, Hyeon-Ju (Julia) started up school again. She is applying for the Dietetics program at BYU and taking the pre-requisites now. The program only accepts 40 juniors each year and so she is very focused right now. She is an amazing student. Hyeon-Ju also ran her first full marathon this year!
4) Christopher is a senior in high school and has applied to BYU and the University of Utah. He is undecided on which he'll choose and still waiting to see if he gets admitted. He is also considering serving his two year LDS mission right out of high school. 2014 is a big year for Chris. Chris continues to excel with long boarding and video making. Check out his channel here:

5) James is 15 years old and a sophomore in high school. He is on the student council and keeps super busy between study, cross country, student council, and currently serving as the ward choir director in our church. He is also taking vocal lessons and singing a lot.
6) Kara is 11 years old (almost 12 years old) and really enjoys ballet and jazz dance, and puts up with taking piano lessons from her dad. She is excited to go into middle school next fall and is growing up all too fast.
7) Vince had a very hectic year at work with his startup, Coach Alba. The company keeps making progress and 2014 could be the year the startup which has mainly been in R&D mode, might actually grow up and become a real company! Vince ran 3 marathons, qualified for the Boston marathon, and ran the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim to Rim again. All in all, Vince ran over 2,250 miles in 2013.
Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year!
Love
The Han's
