Is it just me, or did everybody have the day from Hell yesterday?

My day was pure, unadulterated dogshit, and this morning, while slightly better, was still tough. So finally, I get to calm down, check my email, and cruise by a few friends' blogs that I normally read.

Damn! Sounds like everybody I know had a rough one on July 1, 2008.

Well, I'll get more into this over the next few days, I reckon... but damn, this is weird.... Hang in there everybody!


UPDATE, as of about 3 P.M....

Well, apparently not everybody had the shit day I did, but still... I've run into about a 50-50 split who wish they'd never gotten outta bed yesterday... and it seems that the intensity of the shitstorm was what was notable. Hell, everybody has bum days occasionally, but damn!

Anyway, I'm not sure what, if anything can be done except to breathe through it. The world is coming to an end and everybody knows it. What we call "money" is really just a bunch of shiny rocks. (We should be buying stuff with apples, or gallons of drinking water, or... dare I say it... songs? Or paintings? Or books?) By the end of the year gasoline will be eight bucks a gallon, cats and dogs will be living together, polar bears will be in Florida and monkeys in Antarctica, and comets will be crashing into the Pacific.

I guess we might as well enjoy the show!
