This reminds me of the first time I encountered the idea of language reflecting deeper ideological differences. It was in Charles Kelly's "The Great Limbaugh Con" (p.95) as he discusses the different understanding of the word "work". Liberal: sweat and toil for someone else. Conservative: whatever you do that makes you money.
Also, reframing economics: check Marjorie Kelly's "The Divine Right of the Capital"
