On Friday, June 5th, we flew to St. Louis to meet our new family member Max. We got in town, rented a car and then drove to Uncle Chris and Aunt Abby’s house. Connor and Paige were thrilled to meet their new cousin. Paige was particularly enamored with him and loved holding him and showing him her stuffed animals and blankie. Connor played some FIFA soccer with Chris on the PlayStation and we all played with the baby and chatted.

Uncle Alex and Aunt Laura were in the middle of their move to Chicago from New York, and luckily for us their furniture hadn’t been delivered yet so they happened to be in St. Louis. They stopped by in the evening and we all went to Fritz’s for some frozen custard.

That night, the kids went to bed and the adults stayed up for a little while and visited. We played a board game, and then went to bed. In the morning, after breakfast, we played and hung out for a while and then everyone went to McAlister’s for lunch. After lunch, we went to a nearby park so the kids could run off some energy and play. We enjoyed the nice weather and the kids loved playing in the slide and on the playground equipment with Uncle Chris and Uncle Alex.

Andrea got baby Max super excited and happy, so I had to post this video.


After we got back to Chris’s house, we packed up our stuff, said goodbye and then drove to Odessa. It was a fun visit and we’re thankful we got to see everyone and spend some time with family.
