I concur with your points.

Words describe sets, and words with fuzzy meanings describe fuzzy sets: the lack of a precise and universally accepted definition of these words (such as "human" and "technology") leads to a wonderful ability to repurpose them in other contexts - political and religious contexts being prime examples.

"what it means to be human" is, if you study the greek roots of the word, the basis of anthropology, and the research into this, if significant, does not appear to have hit the public as well as it could have.

The ability to repurpose that very word which is suppose to mean what we are - human - is an ability which I think is, in fact, uniquely human. ;) Perhaps that is a suitable definition for "human"....
