I just wanted to thank you for sharing your story. Wishing you all the best on your journey. All three of your girls are very beautiful! St. Joseph Mercy is familiar territory for me because my granddaughter was born there in 2005!

Your blog has been a lifeline for me since I found it. I had a 26 weeker in November, 1lb 5 oz. Your girls are beautiful, if my Meara turns out to be 1/2 as cute, smart and fulfilling as they are I will be one happy momma. I also feel a kinship with you as a school Speech Pathologist. I keep a caringbridge for my daughter- babyangellotti

Hi Billie,

I just wanted to let you know that I scrolled back though your posts and one of them is so similar to our life right now it's uncanny. Ariana just finished her first 4 week session of Conductive Ed summer camp. She is starting first grade tomorrow. We are moving into our new house very soon... all things that you were updating on in one post. It just reminded me of how I always think of you as "future me". I hope all three beauties are well and that you are too! I would send you my email but I don't know how to do it w/out sharing w/the world :).

Wow. They look great! What a miracle. Two beautiful testimonials to micro preemie success! My daughter Joy was born at 23 weeks last year. Due to modern medicine and prayers she is doing great today. I hemorrhaged at 17 weeks for the first of 4 times because of 100% placenta previa, which turned into placenta accreta (which I believe was caused by 3 prior c-sections). After she came home from 121 days in the NICU, I wrote a memoir called "From Hope To Joy" about my life-threatening pregnancy and my daughter's 4 months in the NICU (with my 3 young sons at home), which will be published in the beginning of August. It was quite a roller coaster that I am certain some of you have been on or are currently riding on. My goal of writing our memoir is to give a realistic look at what lies ahead to families with preemies in the NICU while showing them that hope can turn into Joy and that miracles can happen.
Please let me know if this is the appropriate place to post some messages about our memoir and please offer any suggestions as to what else I can do to spread my message. I appreciate any and all advice.
