Yay! And she looks so grown up in that picture, too - even with the (very called-for) giant grin.

Wow! She looks so grown up! Big, HUGE stuff this is!
We cheered when, way back, you posted the video of Eden crawling, slowly and deliberately and with fierce determination pulling herself along with just her arms. It was inspiring and heartbreaking all at once. This is just inspiring! Three cheers for Eden (and you!)
There is a new CP website www.CerebralPalsySocial.org and I suspect you will probably want to know about it. It’s for people who cope with cerebral palsy directly or indirectly, on a daily basis.
So what can I say about it. It pays to have a look because you’ll see we’ve taken our first steps and now want to increase membership to make it more useful for all who use it.
You are invited to open a blog, use the bookmark function, start polling, open a group or join an existing group, connect your Twitter or FriendFeed to your profile, and the options are growing all the time. Most of all, you can stay in touch with your friends and make new ones!
So, stay well and stay in touch.

Thanks everyone! We are very excited with how well Eden is doing at bench sitting, and even getting her hands up a bit to play! She has come such a long way. I confess that there was a time when I thought she would never do this and she is proving me wrong. It makes me excited about what other accomplishments may be in her future.
The band at the bottom of the bench is helping her keep her feet on the floor. We discovered this just last week and it is working out awesome. Without it she tends to kick out her legs and it throws her balance off. The band gives just enough resistance to remind her to keep her legs down and she sits much more nicely.
Also exciting that she is REALLY close to being able to get herself into this position all on her own. She climbs onto the bench, straddles it and pushes up to sit, then works on getting one of her legs around.
Oh, and the other day she got up there to show Nana, and wanted to do a Ms. Susie hand clapping game. She was determined to clap her hands and actually did it for quite a few seconds without holding on at all!
