Billie, John & Girls,

Congratulations on being halfway through with the Conductive Education summer camp! For Johnny (this is his 11th summer camp!) he can't wait for Saturday mornings to be able to sleep in! It sounds from your latest blog entry, that you are enjoying CLC and I am so glad. Glad that you feel welcome, but mostly glad that you are starting to see the benefits of this wonderful program first hand! Way to go!

I am so glad things are going well. I had enrolled Elizabeth in a brief CE camp and I was impressed by how they work on so many functional goals for independence. The bonus of a daily camp is great to give her a 'boost' before she starts school in the fall.
That is so great that Eden is taking off her shirt, it is a hit or miss thing here and we have worked so long at it.
These therapy spurts are addictive because you can see so much progress, it just is a really expensive habit.

That sounds so great! Like you, I still think that Charlie's body would take a beating if we did an intensive program, so I am putting things like that off for a little bit longer.

I am really thrilled to hear about all the independent stuff that they are teaching her. To me, that kind of thing will be the difference in the end. I know, as parents, we put a lot of emphasis on walking, but in reality, walking is not imperative to independence. I know you know that--I just need to remind myself sometimes.

I was hoping you would have a CE update posted. I was wondering how it was going. Glad you are all enjoying it!

I'm so glad the camp is going so well for you! Definitely something to keep in my back pocket for now but I have a feeling it would be good for Annabel in a couple of years. I will probably be contacting you. : )

Hi~ I'm from Hong Kong. I found this blog on the web. Have been viewing some of your videos uploaded a few years ago. Saw how beautiful babies grow into beautiful girls :) Holland & Eden truely have a very loving family (including the dog!). Best wishes to your CE camp. I hope Eden will discover more and more of her own abilities, in the camp and in the future :)

Thank you for sharing your CE experience. My granddaughter Hailey is 3 years old and has Athetoid C.P. My son and daughter in law are seriously considering it and I think that blog posts like this help to seal the deal. Eden seems like a very determined little girl.I know she will continue to do well. I am going to add you to my blogroll. Thanks again.

Hello! I just found your blog and I also have a micropreemie (she's 10 months actual, 6 months adjusted) who just came home in June. I live in the same area of the state as the camp and didn't even know it existed! So glad you found it.

Hi there,

Re-reading this post because we are considering CE this summer as part of Hannah's post SDR recovery plan. It would be daunting to move our whole "operation" (3 kids) across the country but for a short stint and if we can find housing, it might be do-able. Sounds like you had a good experience, so much so that you're going back again this summer. Who knows, if we can get our act together, maybe we'll see you there!
