Hi Billie,
This is Lauren, Kendra's friend. I just wanted to let you know that I had strabismus as a baby. We also did patch therapy and it worked very well. In fact, I was able to stop wearing glasses all together as a teenager. Your girls are so adorable patch or no patch, don't worry what others think. My son Noah turned 4 months on Wednesday, I hear that this is a wonderful and fun month! Take care and keep up the great work!!!! Lauren :)

Hi, billie.
I'm sure most people won't be bothered by Holly's patch...I bet she looks adorable. :) Remember, Merry had that crazy little helmet, and it wasn't so bad. :) Plus, you could decorate it up if you go out...put little flowers on it, or a smiley face. :)
They are both beautiful little girls.
Lots of love and prayers.
Kendra

Hi Billie.
I still check in all the time and am still so impressed with you guys. You continue to amaze me with the amount of love and courage that you show on a daily basis. You know, I always hated to read/hear about what my kids were supposed to be doing at various ages. If they are late, is something wrong? If they are early, are the geniuses? Anyway, I'm sure the girls will let you know when it's time to lift there heads. And as far as the patch goes, why don't you put a photo of Holland's eye on the patch. Then it will look like she is winking at everybody. Just a thought, Uncle Keith

I just remembered a tummy time trick that a friend of mine taught me. My son Noah hated being on his tummy so my friend told me to start tummy time with him propped up on his boppy. This took some of the pressure off of his belly, gave him a little elevation to look around and a soft place for his head if he put it down. This worked so well and quickly too. Give it a shot if you haven't tried this yet. The girls will like being on their bellies and looking all around in no time! Lauren :)

hi,
I followed a link across from snowdeal where I have been reading about little Odin since his birth. I'm really enjoying catching up with your story even though I'm a bit late! :0)

Anyway, I am posting because both my girls (katie born at 33+6 weeks, and nicolette at full term) were not keen on the tummy position at first. Propping them on something like a baby ring did help, with a baby gym or something on the floor just in front of them to look at, but I remember it was a little bit of time before they would play like that.

Billie,
Just to let you know, Brady hated being on his belly (he still gets frustrated) and he was (according to the book) late lifting his head. I still think it was because I wasnt giving him enough practice. He'd get mad and that would be it for the day. But, it all came in due time. Don't worry about it. All kids have their own speed. He also completely skipped rolling tummy to back and finally rolled back to tummy. He gets frustrated and stuck on his belly even now.
Love, Kris
