How much are you looking to spend? That's the big question, isn't it? *grin*

My experience has always been on the "pricey" side of camera buying. We've got two Sony's, a DSCF828 and a DSCF717. I love the lenses and the zoom on these things, and the zoom is great. Just based on my experience with these cameras and the few Sony's I have played with, I'd recommend the brand. A lot of Sony stuff might be crap these days, but their cameras have been good.

Wow Heather. I have no idea. I use the disposable cameras. I have a digital camera but rarely use it b/c I hate all those buttons. I'm to much of a computer dork. Sorry.

I use a Kodak Easy Share. I didn't buy it but rather won it in a raffle. I really like though it is fairly simple. When I can save enough money I plan to get a digital SLR. For video I stick to a video camera. I feel funny about a camera that can do too much. BTW, most of the pics on my flicker site (all the recent NY pics) were taken with my Kodak.
