Such a wonderful flower! Your post title mesmerized me - it's already the second wonderful Ralph Waldo Emerson quotation I have read in these days. Must write it down! :) Thank you for sharing and have a lovely new week!
You have things blooming! Just goes to show we really do live in different parts of our continent. The flower is beautiful; I've not seen that variety of iris before now. Enjoy the early stages of your garden, Snap!
That is a beautiful Iris .. looks almost like an orchid from one angle. I love this. Iris are my daughter's favorite flower and I don't see them often any more here in Florida (although have found a few wild Japanese Iris near here).

The Butterfly Iris are blooming in my garden.
It is very difficult to underwater or overwater this Iris.
Perfect for Houston weather where it is either too dry or too wet!
They look quite pretty dancing in a light breeze under the sunny skies.

I'm joining the lovely Karen and Mya for Sun Lit Sunday.

Looks fragile but is really quite hardy. I rode the lift with a young woman from Houston recently. She said the winter has been warm.

Such a pretty iris. I love the range of colour in a single bloom. It sounds like it would be a good choice for our crazy climate as well.

I've always wondered what flowers do best for your climate, this is a pretty iris.

Beautiful iris! How nice to have them blooming in February (or maybe that's normal for Houston.)

Such a beautiful iris! I look forward to the iris every spring ... they're not nearly ready to bloom here.
