Such delicate and vibrant looking cups. You can just see the joy the creator felt while painting them in the playful strokes and colors. Lovely. Take care.

Those tea cups are so very delicate looking. My Grandmother always used to pretend to do "tea leaf readings" but she had a very sly sense of humour and would sneak all kinds of funny things into her "predictions." :)
The design on the cups is very intricate, yet not a one wastes the space on the sup. Ornate and illustrative of a culture that just knows tea is part of life~
My first thought was ooohhh wouldnt it be nice to see those teacups up close & personal??
My second thought was no, I would be just like Mrs. Bucket's (pronounced bouquet) next door neighbor, who has to drink out of a beaker because she's always being startled by Mrs. Bucket (which i doubt you would do) and terrified she will break the good Royal Doulton (which i would be).
LOL, um, what i meant to say was, LOVELY teacups!! :-)

I have a short post for you today.In case you didn't see the previous post, I was interviewed by the delightful Julochka at one of my favorite blogs, Moments of Perfect Clarity.In the interview I mention the two ladies who got me interested in tea.The teacups I'm sharing today were a gift from them and they are perfect for tea leaf reading!(I promise a future post on reading leaves.)
[Image] You can see the Japanese Porcelain Ware stamp along with decorated in Hong Kong on the bottom of the cup. They are quite ornate and the porcelain very thin -- perfect for transferring vibes to the tea! They were my first teacups, one of my most treasured possessions, and have been used often.
