My Dad was a frustrated wannabe participant of the space program, an engineer on the design team of the F-15 for the AF later, so though he hated TV for the most part we wouldn't have missed a rocket launch and certainly not the moon landing. It is incredible to remember how amazing and miraculous all of that was for its time. AWESOME! Years later when I finally got to make the trip to quilter's mecca and the International Quilt Festival in Houston I HAD to also make sure to visit the Houston Space Center and I remember as I toured the voices from the original viewing of all that as I stood there - "This is Houston control..." WOW! I had to literally pinch myself to be sure I wasn't dreaming. There really is no limit to what can be accomplished when a dream beckons and is followed!

Congrats to the new mama and welcome to Cydney! :)

That collage is amazing!

I did a similar post last night, kind of like your "mullings". It's a neat way to think on things.

So glad you like the booty. Such a full and mullifying post! I was 9 when Apollo landed and the space walk happened and I remember watching it on our black and white tv. It was surreal, even at that age.

Hi Snap,
Congratulations to Ann Marie on the birth of her new daughter. I love those beads. When I lived in Hong Kong there used to be a Buddhist monk who handed out gold threads to everyone who passed by. I loved the peace that I felt. I was working on your pansy paining tonight. I have to keep adding layers to make the pansies pop. Even though it is taking me a while to finish everyone's painting, I am loving taking time to make it special for that person.

Have a lovely evening. Just wanted you to know as I paint this, I am sending you thoughts of peace.

Good Mullin' Monday to you! I can tell you exactly where I was when the first walk happened..playing a bass fiddle in an orchestra..they broke and and made the announcement. Lets just say the concert did NOT go on!
The piglets are adorable and congrats to a healthy happy birth. Prayer is a powerful thing!

I was 14 in 1969 in Eagar, Arizona. I was old enough to know better but I wondered if we could see the lunar lander on the moon.

Lovely collage!

I was in Warsaw, Poland for the moon landing. I went to friends' house, since we didn't have a TV. We sat up all night watching that infernal ladder. Finally someone climbed down and I screamed with excitement and woke up the lady of the house, who scolded me soundly. And that's my moon landing.
