Hi! Well, this looks like a fun day with the kiddies! I betcha they had a blast especially getting painted faces! It's nice the photographer played along and you two had a good laugh!!! Love, love, love the owls. I agree a great camouflage for that one owl, huh!!! Have a great day!
I love the children's face paint and that cute little owl! Owls do have such wonderful camouflage. I wish I had that photographer's big camera---he must get some amazing close ups.
What a wonderful day that must have been. We don't have a zoo here (apart from a petting zoo) but when the grandchildren are old enough we'll head to the mainland for a visit to a big zoo. That little Eastern Screech owl is gorgeous!
The kids look pleased with their face paints. And the owl's expression is adorable. I'm glad they are being looked after there in the zoo if they can't survive in the wild. Sounds like a fun day out for you.
Looks and sounds like a wonderful event to attend, the face painting is amazing and the tiny owl is adorable, thanks for sharing this lovely day with us at MM this week.
That owl is too cute. The kids look like they had a great time. Thanks for sharing at Keep In Touch.

Family night at the zoo was filled with
fun and education with
Pancakes and Pollinators.
Long tables were set up showing the importance of
pollinators.

Two of my favorites: Lantana and Lavender.

Kids had fun having their face painted and playing games.
Two beautiful tiger sisters and one handsome brother snake.

Some of the Animal Ambassadors were out and about.
This is an Eastern Screech Owl.
He looks like a tiny tree!
Great camouflage.

Most of the Animal Ambassadors
have been injured in some way
and can not be released into the wild.
The zoo gives these animals a home and uses them for
educational purposes.

In some ways, this gentleman is an Animal Ambassador, too.
He is one of the official photographers at the zoo.
We were laughing taking pictures of each other, taking pictures of each other!
Can't leave out a mention of the menu.
Fruit, yogurt, scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon, potatoes,
chicken nuggets and
shrimp and grits.

It's a shame they can't live wild but then they are a great way for people to learn about the birds. Great images.
