My mom used to wear Arpege... and I think we had those chairs at my grandparents house, or ones very similar. Thanks for the memories, lovely Snap !

Oh dear memories are flooding back. Especially the chairs.I used to bounce in them all the time. My aunt would ask if I had ants in my pants. Sharon I miss those chairs....

A little dab'l doo ya. Remember that?! Or the Breck girl? I had a chenille bedspread when I was growing up and it was the bane of my 5 year old existence to try to pull it straight every morning when it came time to make my bed. I'm going to go and have a bigger look at the catalogue. Thanks!

Snap,
I love your writing and the style of your blog. Yes, powder puffs, remember how we were all white after coming out of the tub and using our powder puffs? I loved this catalog too. I am away in Stowe Vermont for a few days.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I am having a giveaway, so if you stop by and leave a comment I will enter you.

I love remembering the olden days, thank you for bringing back some very nice memories.

I love this catalog. I find the best stuff in it--including stuff from my childhood! But, I also found some candy I had in Germany! Go figure!!! You never know what you're going to find each new catalog!

I'm in between old enough and not so I really enjoyed the nostalgia. some of it was because of my mom; the cake eyeliner for instance! and there are old pictures in my great aunts house of those metal lawn chairs. :)

This was so wonderful of you to have posted! I must admit I am fond of chenille bedspreads.

mmm thank you Snap :)
