Today I saw a message in a friend's page that touch my heart.
It's a quotation from a Brazilian priest:
"Do not be discouraged from you,
even if the harvest is not very happy today.
Do not put an end to your hopes. There is still much to
do, there is still much to plant, and to love in this life.

Go ahead.
Smile and have resolution in your decisions.

(Priest Fábio de Melo)

*** Sometimes it's good to cry, to clean the soul. But then it's important to fill every corner inside the heart with love and new lights.

I'm sending today beautiful flowers to your heart!

Snap,

Those are very poignant words. I have been there and I learned to do all those things - many I was doing anyways. This is all part of the healing. Take care dear lady.

I was thinking about you this morning when I replied to your comment on my blog -- and how you are moving forward. And this "poem/quote" sums it up so well. All the things you must learn to do again, alone and what this new chapter in your life is like and what it is all about.

You have such an amazing strength and personality...and you will make strides and discover a knew sense of "you". Each step brings you closer to another destination...and right now all I want to do is reach out and hug you for a good, long time. ♥

Oh Sweet, Strong, Resilient, Amazing, Inventive and Evolving Snap. This is a tough, insanely unchartered territory. Each moment, each experience, each step you are called upon to take or take willingly, they are all steps to get you to point "b". And point "b" is just one step away from where you are. There are and will be days of utter devastation and loneliness where you want to beat your pillow and cry to the heavens. And why not do that? I know I did and do. What a heart wrenching poem you shared with us. And yes, picking up the slack of what the other in a relationship usually took care of makes us become even more grateful for the absence of that particular spirit in our lives. How extraordinary that our loved ones came to us and sheltered us and cared and took care of details. And, yes, how hard it is to step into those shoes and now, suddenly, do "it all". It is like assuming a part of their skin, and we do until it becomes our own skin, how ever long that takes. I'm rambling now...but I send my heart to you in its entirety.

How hard the healing journey must be. My thoughts turned to a verse that has encouraged me through different circumstances:
Psalm 147:3 “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

This must be so hard. I know I would be so lost without my husband as he is the strong one, the navigator, the wise one. I would have to learn so much and I'm not sure I would ever be able to.
All you can do is try to do all these things alone and with each victory over doubt know that your husband is there with you in spirit, cheering you on!
