Hey, I know this artist's work! When we were in Maui a couple of years ago, he had an installation at one of their art centres. Very similar looking to this but on a smaller scale. It was interactive (you could walk through the structures) and absolutely wonderful!
Came over from Our World, today, but a giant spider is too much for me to look at, so I followed the link to this post, which is far more to my taste! Beautiful maze and lovely curves. Since they are saplings, I wonder if the maze is intended to grow, and if so, if it now has leaves?

Hermann Park is undergoing a transformation.
A giant maze constructed from saplings can be seen sprouting out of the ground
near the Japanese Garden. Constructed with over 1000 volunteer hours, it is the first of nine works of art that will grace Hermann Park as part of the park's centennial celebration. The maze was designed and created by artist, Patrick Dougherty.
Fun!

This maze mixes perfectly with the surroundings. The constructions look like real huts in an African landscape! Very clever!
Thanks!
