Hi Snap! Here in Portugal Mother's Day was the previous Sunday, the first of May. I loved that photograph of Portuguese women in California, dressed up to celebrate the Holy Ghost. I believe they originate from the Portuguese archipelago of Azores, since Azoreans are very devote of the Holy Ghost and have many celebrations in May and June. I really enjoyed seeing this post.
