Your teacup photo is lovely. I can see why it is a winner. And I can almost smell that gardenia! Love gardenias, but I never seem to have luck growing them. Maybe it's time for me to try again.

I often have possums visiting my back porch at night. I have two outside cats that I feed there and although I bring their food in at night, I guess the possums can still smell it. They are interesting critters.

Snap, your split pea soup looks AWESOME! I love the tea cups! And the Galveston postcards are wonderful! My, how things have changed, but these photos are remarkable! I am amazed that they had a "footway" on the Causeway. Great piece of history here. Thanks for sharing.

My very favorite soup is homemade split pea soup - the can stuff can't even come close. The postcard with all the people was wonderful. Interesting that it is in Spanish first, then English.

Hi Snap----I Love split pea soup and I love gardenias....Thanks for sharing them today!!!!

Every time I see vintage pictures from Galveston, I think of that horrible hurricane in 1900 which devastated that little area...

Hope you have a great Memorial Day Weekend. It's going to be a hot one here (temps. in the 90's)... Yipes!!!!!

Hugs,
Betsy
